Your donation will support thousands of Canberra’s Scouts to soar

Locally established and run for the specific purpose of supporting Scouting in the ACT, your donation to ASF will help provide awesome outdoor activities every week, fantastic major events every year and skills, friendships and memories for a lifetime.

The ASF encourages individuals, businesses and organisations to become Members, by pledging a regular contribution over 5 years.

Donations made on a one-off or ‘as able’ basis are welcome and greatly appreciated.

The foundation is open to bequests.

All donations to the ASF are tax deductible.

Camp Cottermouth

Rebuilt from total destruction with significant funding from ASF, Camp Cottermouth is now a thriving camping, training and activity centre for Scouts ACT. Planning is underway to add improvements and new features to the Camp.

Annual Scholarships and Awards

The ASF funds three scholarships annually. The Ross Hohnen Award is a grant of up to $3,000 to a Rover Scout or young Leader (18-30 years) to assist them to attend a major international Scouting event. The Jack Deeble Award is a grant of up to $2,500 to assist a Scout or Venturer (or a number of Scouts or Venturers) to attend an international Scouting event or a unique national Scouting event. The Heather Shakespeare Award supports youth members to undertake a scouting project. The adventures our young members have undertaken over the decades are remarkable, and have without doubt propelled them on their journey to becoming happy, healthy, community-minded members of their communities.
